TV stations, radio stations, etc., use the airwaves for free. Why? As long as they pay us a yearly rental fee or a one-time purchase amount, let them say whatever they want. Let's do the same with unused Federal lands and give each American a check in a bank account that each American can use upon reaching 18 years of age. My opponent in February 2005 voted to have higher fines for indecent speech in media. If he really wanted to punish the big media companies, wouldn't he make them pay us the fair use value of the airwaves and let them say what they want? I'd think that would be better for us if we get to pocket the money, and MUCH more painful for the big media companies!
