Bob Johnson for Congress - Let's Try FREEDOM!

Sam Johnson claims not to know his opponent's names - is he a liar or just senile?

In the online version of the Plano Star Courier from March 3, 2006, Sam Johnson claims: "'I don't comment on opponents. I don't know their names most of times,' he said." Hmmm....let's see...I know that he knows MY name because the way he found out is that the day I appeared on the ballot coincided with the Dallas County Republican Party Christmas Party, Dec. 20, 2005. In what was basically supposed to be a worship-fest for Hensarling and Sam Johnson, all the rest of us candidates walked across stage and mentioned our names and for which office we were running. I said, "I'm Bob Johnson, running for the 3rd Congressional District." I slightly looked over at him as I said '3rd Congressional District.' He was on the front row. When he and Hensarling got up to speak, Sam Johnson closed by saying, "By the way, I TOO am running for office again, and MY name is SAAMMMMMMMMM Johnson!" (yes, he heard me and emphasized he's a different Johnson). So I know he knows who I am. I also know that he knew who his previous Republican Primary opponent, Brian Rubarts, was, because unlike the case with me, he actually SHOWED UP to his Dallas Morning News interview on endorsements, where Brian and Sam WERE IN THE SAME ROOM talking to fellow nutty neocon Keven Willey. So Sam knew who Brian Rubarts was. For the previous primary in 2002, I'm pretty sure he knew Prof. Caiazzo's name since he spent over three times as much on media placements to clobber Prof. Caiazzo as he did with Brian Rubarts. That's THREE OF THE FOUR REPUBLICAN PRIMARY CONTENDERS in recent years.

The question then arises: is Sam Johnson an arrogant liar who ENJOYS APPEARING arrogant - or is he just senile?
